Our first round of FreeMotion Bikes Are Here!

We just got our first shipment of Freemotion bikes in stock. We will be working hard like the pack mules we are to get these tested and optimized to our satisfaction, and once we get to that stage we will start with a soft roll out on the Studiocycles.com website! Stay tuned for more details. These bikes have a TON of potential in the industry, with some smokin hot,state of the art dynamics. We are excited to be involved with FreeMotion and are already in the midst of our first pro level install on behalf of the company!

We are happy to announce that we are carrying the Johnny G KrankCycles! This new machine from the mind of Johnny G, the creator of Spinning, is an AMAZING way to work the top half of the body,arms shoulders, core with the high intensity level your used to working the bottom half with the Spinner(R) series bikes. We will eventually have these in our retail stores, but initially we will carry them in our commercial client location in Hawthorne.The Johnny G KrankCycle is not associated with the Spinning program, but it most certainly compliments any other intense cardio workout! You can check out the Krank at KrankCycle.com 

We have a shipment of the 2012 Spinner FITS ready for purchase

We just got in a large quantity of the Spinner FIT home version bikes. These are home version models, they weigh in around 80 pounds, have the perimeter weighted flywheel, which produces the aggressive inertia, like their commercial bike brothers. We build them, do the QuieTune(R) build process and drive train treatment and we extend the warranty.These sell online at $599, we've got them for $400 locally in our 2 retail stores or we can ship for $500. Bike Delivery to Seattle Fitness – Seattle Washington

As I type this latest blog entry my team is on its way to Seattle to deliver 20 of the Schwinn AC Performance bikes to Tija at Seattle Fitness. We’ve been paying thousands of dollars over the years to lease our trucks used to deliver and we’ve stuck primarily to the Southern California region for deliveries. Last year we struck a deal with Schwinn/Stairmaster to do the installs for them in California, Arizona and Nevada. So, we’ve had to “up” our game in terms of logistics as we’ve learned the hard way about putting logistics, or at least the final delivery stages in others hands, it can turn out less than optimal. We found that we can do everything related to the build on an optimal level, then put the final piece of the puzzle (The delivery) in someone else’s hands and it dilutes and potentially compromises everything we stand for. So our capabilities have expanded, and so does our customer base. We can now offer white glove personalized delivery to California, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Montana. Now we’ve ALWAYS done professional level bike builds that are simply put; unparralled, in terms of the actual build process. While other fitness equipment companies “build” bikes like furniture from IKEA, we do the absolute best builds in the world on indoor bikes and have since the very beginning. When we say “white glove”, we mean your bikes will be delivered by our own personal staff members, people who actually work in my company and will deliver these bikes with the utmost care AND answer any questions you might have in terms of care and maintenance. So, Seattle Fitness is due to receive their bikes within a few hours of this post and we are excited to have them in our stable of satisfied customers!

The New Star Trac Bikes @ IHRSA 2011 -San Francisco

I had the pleasure of going to IHRSA 2011, one of the premier tradeshows in the fitness industry, and this year was one IHRSA show I was particularly interested in going to because of the release of several new bike lines. Star Trac is now under a new command with Michael Bruno aquiring controlling interest after a tumultuous year last year at Star Land, and I was anxious to see what Star Trac had in strore, being THE representative company for Spinning(R) and their brand of indoor cycles.It is clear that Josh Taylor, a SERIOUS roadie,Catagory 1 professional cyclist and the shining star/faceman for Spinning has some major influence on the new rides that will be coming out of the Bruno/Star Trac factory for 2011. The obvious change, the new Star Trac models, namely the new flagship BLADE(R) has the Qfactor of a one off pro road bike, instead of the usual simalar Qfactor of an Apoloosa found on many indoor bikes produced in this day and age.Other notables include a Morris taper bombproof bottom bracket, exclusive to the Star Trac brand in addition to a long overdue fore and aft adjustment for the handlebars on all 2011 models. I'm not sure about the Morris Taper technology on the pedal spindles, but I've heard through the angry hound grapevine that a 3-Way pedal is on the way from ST and MDA, for those of you who cry foul about not being able to use the Triple Link pedals on future Star Trac models. Did I mention the Blade looks pretty BADASS, like something Mel Gibson would have use in his arsenal in his Mad Max days, long before the hole in his marble bag became too big to contain : )
